Problem with that is... Employees want higher wages = companies incur higher costs to pay for higher wages so either a) some employees lose their jobs to offset costs or b) companies put prices up to pay for higher wage bill. Prices go up = cost of living goes up for employees = they want a wage increase = the cycle repeats itself.

I preferred the shops on Church Street the new shops are finished so I'll reserve judgment. There is more of a buzz about the town centre and there are far more people around. It is slowly rising from the ashes and it'll look impressive when it's finished. The dock area has been developed - the new arena is fantastic - it's a good place to be at the moment</p>
I think you're confusing tax evasion and tax avoidance. </p> If tax avoidance became illegal the last of our industries would pack up and move abroad and we'd all be on the dole.</p>
