Ar, if it’s been working before no need to change. They must have changed something behind the scenes because the queues were ridiculous
Me and my dad got straight in to the West. Our old cards from 2 years ago scanned just fine. Also no queue but we were quite early about 2:25 when we went in.
Went down early as it was clearly going to be a nightmare. Got there at 2:30. Only waiting 5 mins max. Handed over my non functional season pass & had a quick half with my brother & nephew before the game. My other mates left it late & missed the first 10 minutes. To be fair to the club they explained the ticketing issues before the game. I don't think they are faultless in this, as the system could have been tested pre season, but it is what it is.
We know there's a lack of stewards so I wasn't expecting any more turnstilesto be open. We arrived about 20 to and had to collect a ticket and were in our seats before 5 to after having a quick chat with friends on the concourse. .
It’s a poor do but I’ve not got too much sympathy with people who missed the start. If you know they’re having issues (and it’s been very well publicised), why get to the ground at 2.50 / 2.55? We got there at 2.30 and more or less strolled straight in. Would it have killed you to have half a pint less and get there 10 minutes earlier?
Last season, we finished fifth, in the fifth-most attended league of the most popular sport in Europe. We turn over millions of pounds a year. And, still, people say: it's only little Barnsley - cut them some slack. Give them a chance, because they've only had a year-and-a-half to sort out any problems there might be. It's only little Barnsley, whose owners declare they have ambitions of being promoted to the biggest division in the world. Bless them - alter your habits to accommodate their shortcomings.
No room for abusing people just trying to do their job. Anyone swearing and abusing young uns just doing a job should be ashamed.
Not saying you ‘should’ as such. But the situation is what it is for this one match. Being a victim of you own bloody-mindedness and then moaning about just seems a bit odd.
Not only the ST's, the lads who went in before me all had problems and they were using tickets bought from the club on Friday.
Absolute joke. Missed first 15 mins today including our goal. When on earth are we going to get this sorted once and for all? Shambles…..
I was lucky, I got an email a couple of days ago telling me there was a problem, this bit of luck allowed me to make the decision to get there early, went through the turnstyle at 2pm no problem, had a drink, watched the Forest match, in seat for 2-50, I must send the club a letter thanking them for informing only me, very thoughtfull of them.
