There's a bloke in Cudeth, who is now a postman....he is the NUM rep and organises the grimey pit reunions every year at xmas (i take dad who worked there)...really famous what happened to him...(he was talking to one 20 mins) down the pit. Described the person perfectly but the person who gave his name, died in same place years before!
I spoke to him about it and it was fascinating...dad had told me about years before, so it was great to actually discuss it.

Was going to mention The Others, very good film. I also got scared shitless by Ghost Watch with Sarah Green. As did everyone else in the UK aged ten and under, judging by the number of complaints the BBC received.

Johnny Wood is the guy who organises the grimethorpe reunion and I heard that story years ago from my father .
He worked at Grimethorpe pit but it was a different miner mentioned and years before Johnny started work there

I worked with a woman who's sister married into a family called Nutters, she lived in Tynedale Farm. They were descendants of the Pendle Witch, Alice Nutter. The farm had been passed down generations for over 500 years, Most Haunted came to the house and filmed, Derek Acorah said it's the most frightened he's ever been. Part of the farm was derelict and the other part lived in, the woman l worked with stayed over a few nights but then was too scared to stay anymore - she witnessed all kinds of things happening.

It's a shame Most haunted had such a stumble after being revealed as fake because I used to love watching it as a kid.

Haunting of hill house is great. There's a mini-series on Netflix from a few years ago too, which was also excellent

Down at Oakwell, there's a ghostly ball rolls along the 6 yard box and a lonely spectre in a red shirt appears throwing its self at the ball , always getting there just too late and repeats its anguish over and over again!

Her sister is Wendy Nutter, l remembered the name after i'd typed it, married the Nutter descendant who has inherited the farm.

Seen various figures in rooms, rooms absolutely freezing but the most strangest one was a dining table moving across the room, inches off the floor. Her sister refused to go in that area of the farm anymore, she's wasn't exactly Casper the friendly ghost..

I think one of the tables apparently moved in the Most Haunted episode, probably Derek lifting it with his knees.
