I dont think its had any impact on our league position at all. As the old saying goes, you take one game at a time and try and win it, exactly how we will have done, whether its in the mr clutch cup or league.
Because the only clubs that enter are League One/Two. I.e pub clubs and a few that are failing. Then again the Fa Cup and League Cup offer little interest to me either.
Hmmm reading the Wembley programme, both the last manager and the current manager said the JPT success had given the team confidence in the league despite the 8 defeats on the bounce. I'm glad you're not blaming the Wembley win on our defeat on Saturday though. One or two numpties on here reckon we would have won yesterday without the distraction of the Cup.
How do you define a failing club? A lot of clubs in the competition are having great success for the size of the club / catchement areas / history etc. Others are about in the right spot. Us? Proably not historically, we should maybe be in the Championship . . . but we aren't. We are where we are and as such we enter in this competition. And we only went and ****ing won it. It shouldn't be scoffed at, or forgotten. It should be celebrated, we should be proud. There's 47 other clubs in the competition whose supporters I'm sure, despite what they say, would like to have a Wembley trophy out of this season.
No I thought we played well in the second half yesterday, one of those games where you just have to accept it wasnt your day, particularly that Hammill/Roberts chance at the end. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I bet if you asked the same question before the season had started hardly anyone would have said winning the JPT.
As far as I'm concerned the JPT final could've been the fa cup final. The build up/ show they put on before kick would've been exactly the same. Only difference was that there was 60k there & not 80+. I feel so proud & privellaged to see my/our team not just take part in such an occasion but, also win on such an occasion. Nobody can take that day from us. There was never any guarantees of getting in the playoffs let alone win the damn thinks. Stop playing devils advocate & ifs, buts & maybes and just enjoy what our team achieved
Wembley any day of the week. Unbelievable weekend and the first time we've won there. Been to the 2 previous defeats as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
