Love the Mary Wallopers. Went to see 'em in Leeds a few months ago - absolute belters.

Used to be a rock festival, sadly, now a pop festival..

Did it? Pretty sure it started as the "POP, blues and folk festival"

Some good acts on but if Coldplay were playing in my back garden I'd close the curtains

If they were playing in my back garden, I'd go and smash all their gear up and push the bed wetting tw4ts in the canal.

Indeed it was advertised as such. But throughout the 70s, 80s, 90s and early 2000s it was predominantly a rock festival. Now very much a pop event.

It's going to hurt them in the coming years when the likes of Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Harry Styles, Drake etc get to headline.

Why will it hurt us? With the excellent coverage nowadays we'll just choose which acts to watch...

Had a look and struggling to get inspired by the TV coverage. I don't really get watching gigs on the telly. Kneecap probably one of the most exciting things today, and they've been put on at 11.30 am. Poor scheduling that. Arooj Aftab is amazing, Simz is always good, Orbital always incredible. English Teacher very good. Irish folky types will like Lankum.

Generally though I have little interest in Glastonbury. It's all just way too big. Anything that takes more than 5 minutes to walk between stages, is too big for me.
