I just don't get it myself really. I could understand it if it was some once-successful 90s band or a group that is reforming for a bit of cash, but let's be right he's going to sell out regardless, so why not be honest about it?

I know you don't like him, but Dave Grohl suffers from serious hearing loss and tinnitus - as did Taylor Hawkins.

And I’m still touched by her presence.

They were, reputedly, regulars at CBGB’s in NY along with Ramones and Suicide etc.
In fact the drummer ( Clem I think ) had a CBGB’s tee shirt on at IOW recently.

Just watched "The War on Drugs" set on i-player ( Under the "Guitars' section). Excellent band with great musicians and a good lead singer with a strong voice. Some of the songs have shades of Bruce Springsteen about them. Well worth a watch.

Actually, I DO like him. He’s a lovely fella. I don’t know the Foo Fighters stuff at all, but he was Nirvana’s drummer, that’s enough for me. I don’t like his fanboy habit of crashing everyone else’s gigs. If they all did that, it would be like Band Aid 24/7.. :)

For last few months had ones of my mates saying that elton can't sing anymore cos of a gig he did in lockdown on YouTube. I went to see him 3 weeks ago and he was really good. On for 2 and a half hour making sure everyone was entertained. Went to see Arctic monkeys at Hillsborough the week afterwards and wernt as good as the previous 2 times I had seen them. (seemed to have slowed songs down. No interaction with the crowd). Heard they were better than the previous night and was better than there was on Friday night (I know Alex Turner has been unwell).

Definitely recommend Kurt vile smoke ring for my halo. An absolute ballache live, but album is top notch. Saw Kurt at ATP many years ago. Took longer tuning up than he did on the actual gig!
