Sorry, but on the question of the first goal I have to agree with Nudger! Ball floated in to far corner of 6yd box should always be the keepers! He had plenty time to watch and judge the flight of the ball and come out for it, the keeper using hands has far more chance of clearing or catching the ball than a defender has of heading it! If he came off his line and made an attempt to catch it 9 times out of ten he would get a free kick anyway. It has been asked on here many times, "Why are all our crosses so close to the keeper?" They are not ! The keeper comes to meet them! Colgan doesn't!

 

I'll admit Colgan could've maybe been a bit quicker off the mark for the first goal. Regards the rest of them, could he have done better? Possibly. Does that make him at fault or to blame for the goals? No.

My point is I don't see why (well, in Nudger's case I do) Colgan is getting singled out for stick. There were individual errors made by the defence for all four goals and, more to the point, it was an abject performance all round. Whether Colgan could've done better is irrelevant he's no more than one-eleventh to blame...

everyone seems to forget you defend as a team

How much time did there defence have on the ball, no pressure from the front or anyway in the team. You can be the most skillful team in the worl but if your workrate is not there you get beat! It wasn't until kayode came on that we applied pressure upfron and made life difficult for there defence not allowing them to pass to there midfielders!

It is easy to blame 2 players but overall we were poor in every department, SD reckons we played ok for 60 mins personally thought we were rubbish all game!

1st goal poor defending tried to paly the offside trap

2nd goal allowed tabb too much time to get the cross in and an unchallenged header, how colgan could have got to that is beyond me

3rd goal kozluk not tight enough to his man and got sold the same dummy for the 10th time that game, reckon harsh on to balme colgan for this goal although he sould not be beaten at the near post
