I'm going but I'd actually much rather it be somewhere like old Trafford, Etihad or even villa park. There isn't much point in 2 Yorkshire teams travelling to London but Wembley is the FA's cash cow unfortunately so they'll never move the play off finals.
Thanks, mate. It's stopped me attending matches this seaon for the first time since the 1960's. I'm not complaing, though, as there are people a lot worse off than me.
Sorry to read the responses from those unable to go, especially those who are unable to for health reasons. Best wishes to you all. Those of us able to will support them on your behalf I'm sure.
Really sorry to hear that Kev. I hope you'll be back at some point, as I've really enjoyed bumping into various BBS members in the Ponty since my return to the UK last year.
I'm taking laptop, HDMI cable and Sky Day Pass to my Dad's, so he also gets to watch the match. Mum and Dad are in their mid-80s and Mum isn't in good health, so Dad can't leave her. He also has neither the expertise nor the technology to set everything up himself. We've shared the highs, the lows and been there for all the big occasions together going back to 1974 when he first took me as a nipper. It's strange watching everyone else make plans for the big day, knowing I won't be there this time, but it feels like the right thing to do.
Thanks MT...happened just after the Derby home game... I couldn't walk up the lane at the disabled riding centre... my lad took me to DRI, got looked after like royalty... tests, bed, wires etc, in for a week and stents fitted at the Northern General... nearly at the end of my rehab course now... God bless the NHS. I got a get well soon message from Mads too!!
I understand. Thing people don’t realise, is if you’re not feeling not great, you feel like burden or even a liability, should you take ill, when off somewhere like football. Aye, so listening to fannies getting their impatient knickers in a twist over a chuffing football ticket, did sound a bit first world brats in need of a reality slap..?
So sad reading and see all these wonderful reds fans not going. A few more unable to go on here than I'd have thought - hope you all continue your recovery health-wise and manage to watch the super reds celebrate once more at Wembley on the TV
I didn’t realise this mate and hope your health is ok. Are you going to be able to watch the match on the telly?
Still too traumatised by last season when I had a season ticket and I didn’t see us win a single game.
