Somewhere I've got the video of him away at Forest... outmuscling Wes Morgan and scoring, as the commentator said ' a goal of the very highest quality'
Thomas the tank engine would always be in by favourite Barnsley XI, great little players and definitely under rated
To name a few I personally rated... Gary Fleming Matty Appleby Charlie Bishop Wayne Biggins Andy Rambo Rammell Brendon O'Connell Julien Broddle
Not underrated in many people's opinion, just that he looked like the missing link between modern man and the apes.
I always rated Carl Dickinson when he was with us, not the best technically but put in maximum effort and was a bit of a nutter. Also thought Diego Arismendi was decent enough too as a holding mid. Think Dickinson is at Yeovil now, and Arismendi is playing for the illustrious Montevideo City Torque
Matt Carbon, Chris Shuker, Danny Haynes, Emil Halfredson, Dominik Werling, Tomasz Cywka, Scott Golbourne, Jon Macken, Devante Cole, Chris Lumsden, Kevin Betsy, Lars Leese. A couple of loanees in this lot.
Shuker was great. Werling was fun. Devante was really promising too but doesn't seem to have progressed since his spell with us
Nicky Eaden and Andy Liddell. Both essential members of the team, both blamed for everything that went wrong on the pitch - and both had great careers at Wigan afterwards.
Too many to mention. Some already mentioned. Eg Stuart Gray was absolute class. But when naming my favourite players based on position. 1 position that no one ever includes was sweeper. Gary Fleming was absolutely born to that role. Brilliant back up defender that read the game as good as anyone.
Chris Barker, Adie Moses,Andy Liddell, Nicky Eaden, Anderson de Silva, Dennis Souza. Some more that come to mind.
Gorre was different class in the Masters tournament, along with those other Barnsley legends Adrian Viveash and Deniol Graham.
