But did they prefer ham or mushrooms in their omelettes?

Still you choose to die on this hill. You’re not in the right here.

Let me try to spell it out for you.

You repeatedly stated that the use of the word ‘gypo’ was purely due to the length of Flint’s hair and was commonly used; and you also said that it was only racist to JamDrop’s interpretation and that she chose to be offended. (Telling her to ‘get a grip’ on more than one occasion).

When in actual fact, it is plainly a racist slur - that you have justified, or attempted to, by pointing out the prejudiced stereotype you’ve assumed it was said to highlight. You defended the poster and defended the use of the word by association - based on that prejudiced stereotype.

That makes it worse if anything - it is still a racist slight, it makes absolutely no difference what the original motivation was. And saying it was only racist due to someone’s interpretation is ridiculous anyway.

You could say that about any racist slur. N word to the black community, Y word towards Jews, P word towards the Muslim community. ‘Only offensive if you interpret it that way’.

I only called him the n word as he had dreadlocks. I only called her a y word as she is money oriented. I only said they were all P’s as they have a Bradford post code… Pick your preconceived stereotype.

Would you excuse any of those?

You might not think so, but this was no different whatsoever. It wasn’t said with overtly racist intent I
don’t think. I agree with that part. But that doesn’t make it any more acceptable - and your repeated assertion that it was only possibly a racial slur if you took it in the way ‘you wish to perceive’ shows your ignorance on this subject.

Saying that you didn’t intend your words to be racist, or somebody not interpreting them as such, are not excuses and would not likely hold much weight in a caught of law if you were charged with a racially aggravated offence.

I’m perfectly aware it wasn’t you who said it in the first place. But you have repeatedly defended it by association - despite you continually saying you’ve never said whether you agreed with it. You haven’t once accepted it is a racial slur.

Another two edits bringing up new points, twenty minutes apart after people have already replied to you.

Where did I question your education? You brought up your education after I said I had spent an hour researching and I replied saying 'I have no idea how educated you are, nor do I care.' Can you please stop saying I have said things that you yourself actually said? I'm getting a bit fed up of it now.

Ffs what dont you get. I defended the fact how I perceived that the comment was aimed at a player as an inappropriate. remark. Not aimed at a community. That's a given. I will never defend a racist. But I may not define one who I think has made an inappropriate remark unaware of themselves making one. to be appeared as superior to another human being.

But yet you, in one of your previous posts you painted me out to be a racist. Yet are fully aware I didnt say anything of the sort in any of my posts in the first place.

" I have no idea how educated you are, nor do I care." I didn't say it. I responded to the fact you spent an hr. Researching the Romany community. Can I ask why. as it had nothing to do with the conversation, as to why the poster made the remark. were you trying to find summat relevant to my interpretation.
A slur in anyone's language. Btw.
We disagreed. I accepted that. You never did. With your comments.

I do edit a lot it is a fault of mine. but I don't alter the facts. Just add.
Sick of your misquotations as well.
I'll definitely leave it at that. Respond all you like.

What have I misquoted? It’s there on the original thread word for word. What I said was not questioning your education, I was replying to you referencing your own education and editing in a weird quiz thing.

Rather than editing when you get a new train of thought could you put it in a new post? It’s very easy to miss a new point that you bring up when it’s half an hour after we’d finished talking about it.

I have no interest in continuing this topic. I don’t know why you brought it up in the first place to be honest but when you keep saying things that aren’t true I feel the need to point out what was actually said. Can you just drop it now like you keep saying you are going to?

Glad you're OK SR... last year I had to have the camera up... and the camera down on the same day, I was most concerned they didn't use the up camera for the down job as well.

Board Heavyweight Bout – Day 3

    Jam Drop v Hooky Fella

What a contest this is turning out to be! For two days, two big hitters have gone head-to-head with neither of them able to land the knockout blow. This contest has it all - racism, sexism, and ‘isms’ most didn’t know existed. Every one’s offended by something even if they can’t quite remember what it is.

They'll be talking about this thread for years to come so make sure to get a ringside seat for all today’s action.

*I am using a recognised convention of ‘ladies** first’ in the sequence of contestants. ** ‘Ladies’ could be ‘girls’ or ‘women’ or ‘females.’

I predict that in this mammoth thread I am the very last poster.
N.B. If anyone else posts after this you will lose all your money, Barnsley will not even make the playoffs and world peace will be delayed for another year.
