Really. I expected an apology at the time but none forthcoming. You think what you like i found it insulting. All would have been forgotten. So when you criticise be prepared to be criticised and not condescending.

You called me Thick not Daft for one if I remember rightly in a condescending manner. You even asked your husband and he thought the same as you. Re the Gypo post . I can't be arsed to look up. I replied by saying you are doing me and yourself. A disservice using that response. Not offensive back.
I dont know how old you are but the term was used commonplace at the time and sung on occasion. Your view stick to it that's fine. I'll stick to my view of the comment. Which I said he was not being intentionally racist. And not meant to offend anyone in that sense whatsoever. As I say a comment used on the players appearance Not a comment some like to use but was commonplace at the time.

The subject was about me saying someone
Used the term on a post calling a player with long hair a Gypo. You in turn turned it int a racist comment saying it was offending romany gipsys during the anniversary of the Holocost. I did think and still dont think it was said in memory of that.

I'll leave it at that.

Find me the post where I called you thick. I have copied and pasted what I said and linked to the thread where the post where you called yourself thick is visible. If you’re going to keep saying that you’re going to need to provide some proof.

 

******* hell if you remember something a total stranger said to you on the internet 3 years ago and it bothers you that much I'd seriously question whether getting into discussions/arguments in the first place is worthwhile for your wellbeing.

As for defending people calling someone in the context I did. I will not change either. I said it may not be an appropriate comment but we differed greatly on why it was used. You couldn't and wouldnt accept my reason.

Can you stop editing your posts after I’ve already replied, unless it’s to correct a minor error or something? You change huge swathes of the conversation after I’ve commented on what you said previously.

I gave a direct quote and posted the link so you quite clearly do not remember correctly. It’s quite funny actually that you’ve been annoyed for three years because you called yourself thick.

 

I really dont care what you say any more. It's how you made me feel. Asking hubby if you were right on your view. etc etc etc. Why the doubt at the time.

People edit posts all the time. Sometimes you post in the heat of the moment and unless one is perfect realise you've written a load of tripe.

He edits the entire contents which means I’ve then replied to something completely different to what he said originally. It makes having a conversation almost impossible.

I think this thread should be closed down. It's gone beyond debate and is obviously causing distress to a well respected poster.
