I can't argue with what you say about child benefit. It should be changed back to how it was. Maybe it will be, I don't know. As for changing positions, when Starmer made statements about what Labour would do last year, we hadn't had Liz Truss and the cost of living crisis. Things which looked feasible then are pipe dreams now. When the manifesto comes out, doubtless there will be much that I don't agree with but I will vote Labour (I'd love to be able to vote Green but that would just help the Tories). We are a broken country, repairs could well take decades - and the Tories will undo it all in months.
There is context in that. I took it as saying what’s the point in lying to people. There’s many who decry politicians as seen in this thread for lying, yiu can’t have it all ways, if it’s ***** call it *****.
When you've got Tony Blair. (Tony Blair FFS!!) calling out Starmer for not offering up any hope to the electorate, then you know you've got a problem.
Starmer is the answer to what , the only argument I’ve seen on here is ‘He’s not a member of the Tory Party ‘… yet
Starmer should be careful, there's still enough time for the Tories to turn it around enough and out promise Starmer at the next election on the basis he's set his bar is incredibly low, and wreck a majority. A week is a long time in politics, never mind 18 months. Those undermining Corbyn's last election may yet come to regret it.
