really?

    i thought we played well

excellent first half, but on the back foot second half against a team with a lot of internationals.

still have concerns with our full backs and i think WBA had done their homework - persistently looking for the ball in behind either full back.

We are starting to looka bit stronger defensively and the commentary team were fairly complementary about us. A few more additions in January and we have got a great chance of staying up

    1 point gained today

    onwards and upwards

RE: what was wrong with today.... we played ok IMHO

Aussie was trying to fill the hole in midfield, left by both Togwell and Hayes who were both caught upfield and standing watching. Hayes did at least wake up and try to get back to Koumas. The question you should be asking, is where was Togwell for their goal?

    Agreed

We said it was definately inside the box but wasn't a foul.

    Ref got it wrong twice

    Exactly what I thought ....

.... but I've watched a replay since getting home and it was outside the box.

    RE: cheers

i've just watched little bits here and there, i can never watch the full match again after i've seen it once.

I've not seen us at cardiff on tv yet or seen a video of wembley, bradford, huddersfield 7-1 or anything.

I agree with you on the ref, at the time it definetly looked in the box but i thought austin had got the ball. I also thought that the ref made them take the freekick on the line but turns out it was a foot or so back. funny how your eyes play tricks on you isnt it.

Paul Reid was also at fault for their goal

just watched the ball fly over his head and never moved to close down it's recipient. However, you have to say our it was a combination of players defending poorly which gave them the goal, just from all the different people being blamed on this thread.

A few examples of bad defending today (Hassel nearly gifting a goal, Aussie nearly giving away a penalty, Hecky being consistently left behind) which was disappointing because things had really tightened up. Hopefully things will improve again once Kay comes back.
