RE: Do not buy Heart of the Game - Jimmy Greaves

I started reading Jimmy Greaves autobiography a few years ago and never finished it. Just boring *****... I think we can conclude that he's definitely not an author

Sad to say this but absolutely don't read

    Redders book.

Very disappointed after reading it. He's my all time favourite Barnsley player. It's not entirely down to the fact I found out he was a L**ds fan that I didn't like the book, but it certainly didn't help.

    I haven't read many autobiographies

and maybe I was expecting too much.

I enjoyed some of it, but in the end it took some of the shine off one of my heroes, so maybe I'm being overly harsh

is your username supposed to say TIT?

Hooligans are criminals, it is not within sport at all, it just so happens that these selfish, moronic ******* choose to commit their crimes in the vicinity of football stadiums.
A book about Jamie Bulger's murder isn't a book on fecking shopping is it.

Last one I read was Ooh Ah Stantona - Autobiography of Phil Stant.

Very enjoyable - telling his stories from serving in the Falklands to his time as a pro in the lower leagues. Preferred it to a lot of the others around as he'd clearly written it himself & not had ghost-writers in. Led an incredible life that man, fair play.

Would always reccomend "Who ate all the pies" by Mickk Quinn if you want a good laugh. Booze, birds, gambling & football - what more could you want :D
