"Wonder if Jon Lucas will be seeing a lot more of Bury playing next year. " From what I hear that wouldn't be met with much disappointment from some of the squad.
He's working with people who were brought in purely because of their relationship with Flitcroft/Hill. Imagine that situation. I imagine he's quite isolated - not the everyone pulling together attitude we had last season. Problems run deeper than us losing Saturday and won't be fixed in the space of ten weeks. Simple as.
The posters on here mate are not crying at the first sign of it going wrong. It was an inept spineless display by Barnsley F C. All the fans who turned up deserved better than what we are getting and some of the team selections are very questionable. If you want to talk spineless, write two pages on that pillock Readybrek and chuck in Kennedy for an ending. Fans are spending a bob or two on away matches, and those who go away are avid Barnsley fans. After going to Wigan and watching McClaughlan being selected and playing first half in agony and Our Danny watching it seems questionable. He may be out sometime, and if he had been rested for this match we may have done better. Then Lawrence at midfield provided no cover for Hunt and Ramage having to cover. I could go on but it has all been said before.
Not saying it sits well, but can understand Lucas and certain players going to watch Bury. But Ben Mansford? Why was he at their game the other day? Hmmmmmmmmmm.
Total blocks of course its Wilsons fault........... I didn't think it was like, then I read some posts on here on Saturday night that totally convinced me otherwise, and believe me I'm not easily swayed me!!!! Anyway I would stop to argue but I've got to rush 'cos I've got to get some money off to a guy in Nigeria who has offered me a deal that will make me a smegging fortune and the there's some Jehovah's witnesses popping back later to advise me on a few things
I think there was a lot disappointment with the commitment shown on Saturday rather than the manager or any players as individuals. I don't think any manager can legislate for more than half his team not being up for it. Danny's the man for the job. He has done moderately ok so far. It would be good to see us playing with more freedom as the timid stuff is getting us no where. I want to see a Danny Wilson team rather than the Flitcroft lite we are being served up.
