damn shame. the rebuilding (currently demolition) job continues. i wonder how our promotion & relegation bookies odds have shifted for this season, since we got relegated?
I think we've narrowed from 100/1 to 10/1 to be relegated. Though even that's looking generous at the minute. No wonder Danny wasn't sure about staying on.
Agreed his performance at home v Leicester during the great escape was one of the best I've ever seen by a reds center forward
I agree. Nobody has worked harder than O'Grady over the past few years. And he has been kicked up and down by defenders in the process, whilst receiving very little protection from referees. He was a big part of the great escape two seasons ago and his goals almost saved us last year. I'd wish him all the best for the future, but who he signed for dampens that a bit, as I wish nothing but failure on Brighton for the attitude of their fans. Another 15 goal season in a relegated team would suit me! But we have lost two players this week who should always be fondly remembered at Oakwell. We'll certainly not be seeing players of their quality in a Reds shirt for some time. For the first time in years we could probably put together an ex-Reds team, who are currently playing, who would walk the Championship. Just unfortunate for us that we couldn't afford to buy the loanees or keep the ones we owned. Lets see... Butland,, Steele or Muller, take your pick Trippier Golbourne (for want of a better left back) Stones McShane Hammill Butterfield Drinkwater Vaz Te Rodriguez O'Grady
