    A great lad. Its 50 years ago now but I came across him when he worked in the labs at Newton Chambers whilst doing a sandwich course half way through his degree. Had some great nights out in Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield with him. After Uni I think he went abroad to work and might have even settled overseas. That's when I lost touch with him.

    Yes, pretty well actually. Mr Thompson was a very keen gardener and grew some lovely flowers which my Mum would often buy.
