Why the hell has he contacted you?

To be honest he should have contacted 'Tyketalker' directly. By going through you he has turned this into a farse.

You too should have talked to tyketalker before you came on here to prove that you have contact with 'important' people in the club! Are you sure you're not TT?

 

Just think yourselves lucky that you have a club to complain about...

that's about the best you can expect

 

That's the thing about arrogance, those who have that wonderful quality wouldn't spot it if it was pointed out to them with a big pointy stick.

 

Does GS even know the mistake was made?

Maybe a direct question to Rob Knowles would be the best place to start.

I'm just passing on the other side of the story as requested by Gordon. I did contact Tyketalker before doing so.</p>

Yeah

He acknowledged the site was incorrect but was changed early in the week. My sticky on the subject probably didn't help any of this. </p>

There in lies the problem. Any company with an ounce of people skills or consideration for their customers would not only acknowledge the mistake, but would do something to make it right.

Rather then pointing out that 9000+ people didn't complain - so tough, a good company would perhaps turn it round and realise that such a stupid mistake only generated 1 complaint and they should consider themselves lucky.

 

So....

....he should also aknowledge that some people will have read the article before the deadline was changed and made plans accordingly and that they have a legitimate complaint.

You're doing a cracking job Paul.

You put this site together yourself and you've run it quietly since without ever requiring any recognition even though, in your case, it's actually well deserved.

You've also managed to avoid compromising the integrity of the BBS by not being tempted to turn it into your personal ego-toy.

I doubt the biscuit has been baked that could seduce you into selling us down the river mate.

Simply let the thing flow. The BBS was always about that (and not about an egotistical old man with an hidden agenda that we now know). Keep it how it should be! Top job you're doing, the best we've ever had.

P.s. McDog is a registered charity in Norway (care in the community or summat...)
