Fair point, but Jacob Burns went a few months ago. I think he was certainly more than just a squad player.

RE: Perhaps players salaries are linked to the division they're in ? (NT)

Not specifically but the wage bill of the clubs in the Football league are capped to a % of turn over or income not sure which.

If you pay a player £5K a week another 2-3 players may have to be on £1.5K to balance things out.

If we can attract larger crowds you can pay the players more and sign better players..

How Colchester are going to keep their best players when they have gates of around 6000 is going to be a problem for them.

We should be ok at Oakwell once we can clear the dead wood out.

I agree with you and Joestar I too would like to see some activity, but I'm prepared to bide my time. The best negotiations are done behind closed doors, then anounced. Also if GS started shouting 'we've got loads of wonga and we're going to spend it' prices would shoot up.

Great for Cardiff, Jam today but looking at their accounts they really could be in the sticky stuff tomorrow. It'll be brown and not jam .

    Stewarding costs will increase.

And stewards' training requirements are different.

    Good man Gordo.

Steady hand at the tiller and all that. If it was left to some of the irresponsible numb-heads on here then Setdi would be a day for watching Shef.....Sh....Sheff.........erg....I can't say it!
Richtea got us there. I'm confident he can keep us there too. No doubt some will have forgotten about the couple of weeks basking in the refective glory of the play-offs and start paying proper attention to slagging the club off again.

You'll be talking about the same people...

...who have fully paid up membership of the Ritchie out brigade. A loose affiliation who sloped off into the hills sulking about Christmas time, thought they may be able to come out of hiding in April and are secretly hoping for us to lose the first game next season so they can stage a coupe
