My initial thought was "you fecking numpty". My mother was a diabetic, got gangrene in big toe as a consequence and had leg amputated below the knee. Then rinse and repeat. She lost both legs. The thought of her suffering spurred me on. Sorry to be so graphic but the rest is down to you.

I could be wrong, but if you've not eaten and then drink quite a lot, you could crash your blood sugar and have a hypo, and some beers and sweet wines can have quite a lot of carbs in them too so can increase blood sugar.

All I'd advise anyone is to look at what you eat and just improve a couple of things. You don't have to go from one extreme to the other. Even if you just ate pitta bread rather than baguettes, or cooked pasta al dente, or had basmati instead of white long grained rice. They all help.

The good thing nowadays, there's lots of online information where you can understand more and work out what would suit your lifestyle best.

You can do it, if you choose to.

Reporting back on my Mum today. 3 blood tests done & an MRI / endo booked for 3 weeks time.

If it wasn't for me going down there filming it live on Youtube she would have still had nothing.

Not bigging myself up, just saying that is where we are at. Where are the people that don't have belligerent family to press their claim? I'm glad I was there but where is the NHS now?

Glad your Mum is getting the tests she needs. Fingers crossed when they pinpoint the problem they are speedier with the treatment.

Huddersfield Road Surgery is an utter disgrace, their reception has no comprehension what SERVICE means. And don't bother putting in a complaint, they are totally ignored.

I think most GP receptions are like that to be honest! Whether it is due to burnout or what, most of the poor customer service I've had has been at surgery receptions. Computer says noooo.
