    Not that I'd say plasma is the way to go

    There are some very good LCD TVs, they use far less power, are more reliable (in theory, time will tell) and picture qulity is OK. CRTs are still the best picture quality like.

    Dunt tha' mean 'degaussed'??

    All telly's are prone to 'burn-in' - channel logos etc will eventually leave a permanent imprint on the screen if you leave one up long enough. Try pausing a video game and leaving it there for a week!! [​IMG] Degaussing is the only way to remove the marks.</p>

    im steering clear of them - even though the price is much weighted towards the them!

    Cant wait to get a HD telly though - mainly for the 360! Im missing out till then. doH!

    i may have to alter mine to 1.5 shags if they only count as half? the other one could have been jay as it was up a dark alley in Wombwell or up a dark womb in Alleywell i can't remember which way round.

    Yer dead right though. It's worth reitterating that Sony and Phillips have lost billions on the development and subsequent scrapping of the Plasma TV.

    Having a 45 inch plasma on is the equivalent power consumption onf an electric fire.

    As well as the gas degenerating, the fans can fail (and squeal) plus your electric bills soar.

    No more plasma TV development anymore tells its own story.

    BUY LCD.

    if its not quick enough you will get blurred images in gaming and ghostying etc... a bit reminiscent to been pissed!
