hit the nail on the head the club seem VERY reluctant to hear ideas. instead they just increase th eprice and hope the few remaining fans will swallow the increase.
In that case, I apologise to you from the bottom of my heart. I still think AFC are a parasitic bunch of alehouse cloggers, however.
I have several problems with AFC Barnsley All of which I aired publicly at the time of the club's inception. I shall not reiterate them now. In fairness to the creators of the club they answered many of my points and some of them I must admit I was wrong about. However, some of the points I made I still stand by. So I treat AFC Barnsley the same as I treat any other club I don't like - simply by not supporting them. It's not rocket science really is it folks?
That isn't the point. PC has nothing to do with AFC allegedly. AFC ask to build a stand on his land. He says yes - and decides to pay them by using it for the reserves. As I've said - I think Patrick has been brilliant for BFC and I have nothing but respect for what he has done. It just all seems a bit odd. I'm asking questions - that's all, which I'm entitled to do. If it was made clear to everyone exactly what is going on - then maybe these questions wouldn't exist.
RE: That isn't the point. Yes, you're right. He should tell you everything so you can show him how to carry on.
RE: I have several problems with AFC Barnsley There's a subtle differnce though, Revvie. I don't like Sheffield Wednesday, but I don't just 'not support them.' I wish them ill, and hope for pestilence to split them asunder. A club like Rushden and Diamonds or Lincoln City is one that I 'don't support.' Wednesday, Sheffield United and AFC Barnsley I wish to see fail.
Kinell Bongy Eyes ... ... now it's getting sillier than pants on a kettle. It's a gret big stand. They've not just allowed an U14's team to use their 5 a side pitch or owt ... Another team has built a stand at Oakwell. Don't you find that strange? Never mind that they rent it back to the club. I think it's important enough to at least inform their 9,000+ paying customers as to what it's all about. Unless it's all a big secret. There may be WMD's under there or summat.
and whats all this about a refreshment stand? where? have they built one on the acadamy as well now or something?
RE: Kinell Bongy Eyes ... I suspect PC and GS give as much of a **** what you think about what you think you know as I do.
RE: Can I ask you a serious question? They have objectives. Right at the top is that they want to be a community club & have teams of all ages. Down at the bottom is that they want to climb through the 'pyramid'. Surely building the stand is solely down to wanting to climb the pyramid (ground regulations & all that cack)? So where are the kids teams? I asked you a question. You chose not to answer it. Fair enough.
I'll put my responses wherever I want. Shan't be answerable to you. If you don't like it, tough. (givinfinger)
Mmm. I'm not claiming to know anything. And I'd love to know where you worked that out from. The AFC chap came on here & stated that they built the stand & are charging BFC for it's use. Am I better off just not asking stuff? Thanks for putting me right.
RE: Can I ask you a serious question? Acky couldn't lead me around by the nose and you won't either. IF I had detailed information of AFC's financing, the arrangement with the stand, the ground, their objectives, PC's involvement etc I MIGHT consider discussing it with someone else who's structured and run a business for themselves. A handful of career employees trying to second guess two self made millionaires is nothing short of ******* hilarious.
