I think it's great that you're looking forward to next season and to be fair I think 99% of barnsley fans are a lot happier about the coming campaign then perhaps they were when last season started. You definitely weren't alone in thinking we needed to strengthen and to claim you were anything like in the minority is outrageous.

I'm sure if you check back on the facts, most people at the very least thought we needed a centre back, a decent striker, wanted mcphail replaced and potentially a winger to replace shuker. In fact most people still believe we need a centre back.

If you're able to reflect on the past like that and use it to gloat, I'm going to make a prediction based on the future.

If some of these signings don't come off and the season doesn't pan out how you want it to, you'll be one of the first to snap.

I just think it's a case of being pleased that the manager is targeting positions to strengthen and bringing in players that he wants, of course we don't know how they will fit in but at the moment it's nice to see new faces coming into the club.

I have the facts. About 60% thought that the team at that time would be OK

Most people at the time attacked me a a handful of others because we suggested that we needed at least two experienced centre backs

Like I said earlier - all these signings might not come off but at least the club is trying to build a team to give us a fighting chance this time

regarding the facts, I do recall you posting them back up to gloat again during a very poor spell for Barnsley last season. I'm not sure I concur that 60% of people said everything was fine. I'm quite sure a number of the 'yes' votes had an 'if we .........' attached to them too, so they never really counted as a yes.

I'm still trying to work out your motivation to revisit it now though? I don't even think I replied to it. How many replies did it actually have? I'm surprised you haven't posted it back up, seeing as you definitely have the facts in your possession.

Personally I'm not sure why your bothering with this. Some people were optimistic at the start of last year, so they're ****? You're optimistic this year and you're great? Any thoughts as to why you like being at odds with other fans all the time?

It's that curse of the bbs - straining to prove that you're correct all the time. But Nudger never has the courage to really offer his own opinion - he throws up certain scenarios then when one of them occurs he states that what he'd predicted all along. </p>

Next season, we'll win a few games, lose a few and draw a few. We'll be lucky in some, unlucky in others, and I'm willing to wager that some of the results will be down to - or blamed on - some of the new players.

not now or in January, Prove that Ritchie just didnt want to sign anyone and I will buy you you prematch pint for the first 4 months of the season.
I know as well as you know that last year we needed strenghthening, but thats gone, dont you think that having stayed in this league and having had a increase in revenue over this time, the Club have had to rethink their strategy and HAD to provide funds this close season?
That is only an opinion like and I am not going to keep bringing it up over and over and over and over and over, sorry but you get the picture.
I reckon that Mosstto will score some goals , then have a barren patch. Remember who said this, because when it happens I will be screaming it all over this BBS.
