Id do exactly the same, pay the best salary to get the best person, I’d also build or buy a hotel in London near parliament to stop them needing second homes
No that's how he explained what happened, it's not my view. Twitter will probably have a video up shortly of him answering it.
You do know that the reason the local planning and council wouldnt give permission was because there wasnt enough affordable housing in place dont you. You also know that he sat next to Desmond at a Tory dinner a few weeks before hand And you seriously think that a government minister is better placed to overrule strong local opposition for the plan in its current form. For the record the local council wasnt against the development - just the form it was in and they wanted more affordable housing including And all that is irrelevant because what Jenrick did was against the law
He answered it well as in he was asked that second and he answered it first and didn't try and avoid it and gave a clear answer which made his opinion clear. My opinion is he's right that we have an housing shortage. Also the contract is for a huge amount of houses which is great for our builders in giving them some stability.
Before i moved over here i worked as a postie in Cheshire for eight years. I saw a huge number of houses go up. Virtually none of them suitable for first time buyers.
In your opinion of course, Not seen the interview but I would’ve always have had in mind that he admitted he acted unlawfully and wouldn’t have changed his mind if he had’nt been found out. I ‘m also led to believe that there wasn’t enough affordable housing provision in this. So as long as we ‘re building, lining our mate’s pockets (allegedly) it doesn’t matter if there is enough affordable housing?
One terrorist attack away from no government if that were to happen - though I see the many advantages (to the lack of second home, not to an attack)
