Yes, but sadly, as we have seen recently...

Most MPs are quite partial to a bit of a scam i.e. sticking everything on expenses and living a luxuy lifestyle whilst paying tax on a much smaller income. As far as it goes parliament is generally full of the more wealthy people who like to do a bit of 'consultancy' on the side. For them closing tax loop holes would be like turkies voting for Christmas. They'll go after benefit 'scoungers' though - because none of them get benefits. Pigs in the trough sadly.

    More likely that

they set up Quangos to decide which graffiti to remove, perhaps a few local party workers, ex-MP's, their wives could sit on it for a few days a year for a small remuneration of course, say £50/£60k a year.

They could then oversee the idle unemployed and make sure they lazy Barstewards don't get something for nothing.

Seriously - are you going to do it?

I think you should next year...

    Just for the experience.

£2 a day in a special jar and you should save enough money for your deposit - which you will lose.

But at the end of your life at least you will be able to look back and say you did it!

I'd put in £50 for your deposit if I could be one of your observers.

AND you, me and 9 of your mates get to spend the entire evening in the metro dome experiencing the whole thing as it happens......on the premise of ensuring your vote is counted fairly...but getting pissed at Barnsley tax payers expense.

I'd be able to take the **** out of you for not getting any votes. You'd be able to take the **** out of me when the tories actaully fecked it up.

Come on Redstar - put your bus fare change where your mouth is.....

I'm sure there'd be others on here willing to get involved with a couple of quid towards your deposit.

And you wouldn't want to shuffle off this mortal coil not actually having had a go would you? Imagine how much you would regret that on your death bed.
