Who's pulling him up, as you put it? I have as wide an interest in football as the next man of my generation, ie I've seen the game change out of all recognition since the 1960s, and not all for the better. I care about what happens to the game and most, if not all, of the football clubs within it. As it happens I am in the process of listing all of my football programmes (it's a huge collection) and I am making very slow progress because I keep reading bits about games and players and general goings on at the club over the years. I should add that, so far, I am working through the Barnsley ones. I have covered 1962 to 1985 up to now, so there's some way to go! It's amazing though how everything changes, and yet things stay the same in some respects. Anyway, I digress. Just trying to make the point that I AM interested in other clubs, but not enough to watch Youtube clips on here about Rochdale. Any more than the Rochdale fans would be interested in seeing clips about OUR players. Or maybe I'm wrong.... When have I ever suggested to you, or anyone else, that I want this, or any other, forum "tailored to suit my tastes"? Can't think of ever doing so. If I did want that I would be severely disappointed wouldn't I? All I am saying is that I find it odd that these two Rochdale fans post on here at all. I know you go on theirs, but I bet you're the only one. Anyway, enough of this. Pointless discussing it really so you can tell your two Lanky mates that I won't bother commenting on their posts any more. I'm not a forum monitor, nor would I ever want to be. I enjoy writing my thoughts down and I enjoy reading those of others. All part of the rich fabric of following your football team isn't it?
Its more about the opposition - I wouldn't have posted a clip of Grant Holt taking on 4-5 Swindon players.
I don't think all of the above was necessary, mate. You're a contributor to the forum whose stuff I usually enjoy reading, especially your reports of games I've not attended as you go into great detail which I appreciate. I do post on their forum, yes. I have done for five years. And I've met some cracking lads by doing so, just as I've met even more cracking lads through posting on this forum. That isn't why I use forums, obviously, but it's a nice bonus. To meet like-minded lads/lasses. Not everyone will feel like that, I'm not daft. But anyone who knows me knows I'm the easiest bloke in the world to get on with and I love folk getting on with each other. It's the Christian in me probably. And so, if you aren't a fan of the Lanky mates as you call them, then why even open the thread? Never mind reply. Which was the point I made. I saw a thread on here about visiting Israel earlier. It's still quite high up the board. I've no interest in visiting Israel, nor reading about it. So I haven't opened the thread. No offence to the chap posting it or owt, but I'm a simple bloke and live by simple means.
I was interested some of the Rochdale stuff can get old but not all and it's nice to hear form other fans occasionally.
I find it outrageous that someone from another town and following another club in the same division should post on here. Can someone please track this rotter down, hack his accounts and make sure he doesn't blight our parochial site with his alien mutterings again. Next thing we know there'll be some twerp from oxford posting, and they're not even in the same division!!!
The last time that happened it resulted in dead fish eyes, a relegation, a sacking and unfair posters on here calling him a useless manager Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
