Because people can live where ever they want? Even if (shock horror!) it's not their place of birth.

I would have thought generally you lived within commuting distance of work. Which in his case is Coventry

Exactly. I've nothing against those buying into what Johnson and Mansford have said. I understand the more you hear the same thing the more some people will start to believe it and think things are more rosey than they actually are. As I said there is no doubt our head coach speaks a very good game. Most of our managers would have had us in the premiership if their words could be backed up by what happens on the pitch in this results driven business.

We need 2 or 3 strikers and another 2 or 3 wingers to look anything like a good squad. Last night showed how light we are on numbers when we get just a couple of niggles. We've only had three months since last season finished to sort it out.....He's brought back two Wilson signings in Williams and Pearson. Of his own guys the jury is still out on Wilkinson and Roberts although Mawson looks alright. This current squad has no chance of challenging for the play offs. It's probably the weakest league one for many a year and the optimism of a good season is lost on many of us before it's even started.

    Re: Talk is cheap

Spot on. And I'm sure LJ would have like to have recruited more players earlier. I'm sure he's disappointed that the recruitment has been harder than he anticipated. But he has recruited very well with Mawson, Pearson, Rothwell and Williams (albeit two are loans).
Wilkinson hasn't shown the early promise LJ would have liked but its early yet and there is still time for him to show us how good he can be. Maybe he just needs game time or maybe he just needs a striker alongside him. Winnall is also ineffective when he plays up front on his own.

I'm with you on the full backs. Bree and Smith are both very promising young full backs who need coaching and game time but they shouldn't be playing every week.

Obvious to a blind man we need at least another two wingers (in addition to Watkins and Wiliams) and another 2 strikers (in addition to Winnall and Wilkinson).

I would also say we need another keeper but that would be bottom of the priority list for me.

Centre midfield and centre defence is looking good with decent strength in depth.

So another 6-7 decent quality players for us and we have a team capable of challenging the play off IMHO.

I don't think that will be in place by the beginning of the season though.
