I just don't see the need to go to EVERY game at Oakwell I've got a season ticket, so 20-odd matches is enough for me. I'm more than happy with that deal. Having to pony up £15-£20 for ANOTHER football match (when I've got other less expensive interests) doesn't really grab my interest... Stephen
Not a real fan..... Only joking. £15 was a bargain for last nights entertainment. Just a shame you don't get a review of the match before it's played, because £15 for the 4 nil drubbing I was expecting would barely compensate for not having to sit through another torutous Soap-a-thon at home!
Didn't go, as Laura was ill And she's been to hospital this morning. Typically, last night, we put in a magnificent performance!! Flipping kids! I wonder whether Mark Robins will insist I stay away in future, as I'm obviously a bad influence on the lads!!
RE: Not a real fan..... As it turned out, yes. Before the game it was more likely that your £15 would buy you yet more purgatory.
RE: I just don't see the need to go to EVERY game at Oakwell I know what you mean, the carling cup is usually played like a friendly, you never know whether your;e gonna get to watch the youth team but last nights game was a cracker. And I bet you'll be there if we get a home draw to a big club next round, even if it's Arsenal kids
To be honest I think the clubs have to take some of the blame (not so much ours btw) there are so many shadow/reserve sides played by premier league and even some championship sides over recent seasons that fans when prioritising games ( lets not pretend money doesnt come into it for many because it does) that many fans are sceptical about what they are going to see when they get there.
