Booze is a bugger for weight gain. Getting pissed involves a lot of calories and then there's the food you eat when pissed. Roughly every 3,000 excess calories (i.e. above the calories you need to maintain your current weight) will be a pound of fat put on.
Honestly, most gyms will be full of unfit, overweight people of all ages. And the minority will be the " fit" ones. Bite the bullet, maybe if you can go earlier or later when it's less busy?
Jesus, that's the one I'd stay away from - full of Instagramers. More folk talking and taking pictures than using the machines. Turkey teeth, crushed velvet home interiors, sun beds and a missus doing nails and lips in the garage.
JD good choice. If you go in the mornings theres usually an assortment of people including an 80 odd year old who comes in with one of those walker things. Most people doing there own thing and I haven't experienced many grunters and posers. Large area for free weights and plenty of machines to go at. Clean and spacious and good showers oh and a sauna.
I know! just to sweat a bit more out i reckon...it does get rid of some crap tbh. However they like you to shower first (after your work out)...theres one of the cold showers too, which I'm told has good effects on the muscles.
Shower, sweat (sauna) then presumably shower again. You wouldn't want to go home stinking lol. Weird .
I go to the Metrodome. A more diverse group of people exercising you couldn't wish to meet - old and young, big & small. All good - nobody gives a **** what someone else looks like in there.
