I was in the shop while you were having the conversation and was impressed with the ladies response to your aggressiveness.

The club shop does seem to be a balls-up, but it always has been a marketing joke (and probably the reason why yesterday was my first purchase for a long, long, long time) but it's quite clearly not her fault and to direct comments to her about the Don etc didn't seem appropriate.

    Just saying like.

...and this year's home shirt is the best quality we have ever had.

don't care who makes it but it is without doubt the best quality.

Is it just me or is it a bit wrong for people above a certain size to be wearing "sports" wear??

It's a bit like Pat Butcher wearing a two piece on the beach.

The Nike gear (not the replica shirt) is the best we've ever had in the club shop, the Nike shirt, personally l dont like the design but the quality is very good. The problem was all the other out of date stuff we used to try and flog still with the old Toby Tyke badge on, everything was years behind. I believe thats the merchandise we can no longer sell in there?

You certainly are mental if you have those images in your head.

I couldn't agree more - at a time when they're getting plenty of people through the shop after renewing season tickets they had entire ranges in just 1 size - Small, great, when I asked if they#'d be getting any other sizes in I got a complete non-commital answer that some point in the future they may, or may not get some other sizes in. Brilliant.

Your definition of "staggering" is interesting, Sherriff!

the Nike kits were sh*t this year. the shorts were far too thin and the shirt seemingly grew holes around the crest and seems. that's what you get when you wear recycled bottles!

Why so? I'd say being told that the General Manager of the club has no input into the running of the club shop, because he signed an agreement to that effect, is pretty staggering.

Re: Take the outsourcing of the club shop

To be fair, that did happen on the last thread on this subject, when I asked about this at the start of the season.

If you have Saturday's programme to hand, you can laugh even further, as I'm photographed in there on page 9 wearing the only piece of Nike XXXL merchandise that I was able to buy from the club shop this season (the t-shirt). Fill yer boots :)
