I don't think I'll ever understand that argument that continuity is all important personally. We would have had more continuity if we kept Liz Truss after the queen died but we all know that wasn't a good idea (perhaps a poor analogy)

We had Paul Wilkinson on our table yesterday and he'd be a better option up front than some of our current squad. Chris Jackson also came into legends suite after the game.

A do feel like some of the players have given in tbh, Cole and Kane who were our best 2 players before Christmas have looked very weak this last month or so…….however we need to give Collins some time, swapping managers season in season out is no good at all

You've got every notion of the recruitment wrong in your post.

    Poor analogy pal

Losing a number of key players this summer needs someone who knows the remaining squad well, and then can help work to get what’s needed in - and doing it early ish.

People bang on about the Head Coach having a say in recruitment. If the head coach is sacked and the new one comes in weeks before the season starts they can’t realistically have a say, and it’s usually too late to look at alternative transfers. It’s then left until Xmas again - which is always difficult to sign someone. Before you know it - back to the summer again.

If we were mid to lower table, then my thoughts would be different, but we’re 5th and currently suffering a big drop in form - but as said, it’s not only us, so I’m happy to keep Collins and just see how it goes. Come October, if bad, go then.
