Care to point out where I said nobody else should say owt? I didn't....I was merely stating what I thought of the player.

I suspect KH is holding fire on this. Who knows, it might prompt a higher bid. But what would we do with much needed funds, buy a winger? There isn't much out there for that money and Done is one of Hill's premium purchases as regards the fee. I'm pleasantly surprised by our intake this summer, especially if the Cranie deal comes off and it would appear that the finances are in place to make that happen.

Plus think of this. It sends a clear message out that we are not currently a selling club and may well deter rivals from unsettling the players who we definitely want to keep. Everyone has their price and that is currently BFC's to fix rather than the buyer. That in itself has taken time and effort to turn around and I for one am quite chuffed by that.

Absolutely no consideration on this board around footballing matters such as players having time to play together, being settled etc all the stuff that adds to coheision and teamwork. Yes lets flog Done and get another winger in and bang him in the team, he can ask folks names in the dressing room before the game, he'll be reight.

It's a team game at the end of the day, not just about throwing 11 players together. As someone has already said, some folk need to stick to football manager.

True,I was blinded by the *****. The more I read this forum the more it convinces me that a lot of members would probabaly be happier if we do ****, i'm just praying Hill doesn't have a bad run early doors as I think he has far more potential than anyone else who would be available.

People are not seeing the bigger picture again, 500k is a lot of money for Done, but what's the chances of getting someone as good as Done for the wages that he's on, Very Very slim if you ask me, it means taking risks on lower league players, and what's the chances of dropping on someone as good as what we're letting go, again i'd say very very slim, we've dropped lucky once i can't see it happening again,

  7. if its true then we are stupid half a million , id of driven him there

I would have snatched their hand off at that. It's one thing to turn down bids for your better players but when someone foolishly overbids for one of your mediocre players who the manager only gave 90 minutes to 11 times last season (with 6 of those times being after january when one winger was injured and the other was at west ham essentially forcing his hand and we created next to nothing from the wings, losing most games and rarely winning, then I think it is madness to go turning bids down for said player.

It's like letting Steele go for peanuts and then turning a 500k bid down for preece.

I like the guitar parts/solo, there is a Pavement song where they parody it superbly but I can't remember the title.

    360,000 euros in 1997?

The same euro which wasn't launched until 1999?

Suprised Eaststander missed that pedants open goal. Standards slipping.

No, I object! That is unfair on Jay. If he can utilise a modern, accessible, cross referencing web of information in 2012 - what was Wilson's excuse? He fcked up big time on that one. Ashley Ward???
