Totally agree. we went for 3 nights but a few of the lads booked early flights home. We went in March and it was chuffin baltic. That said, we did have a proper giggle but like you said, the novelty of boozin and 'window shopping' soon wore off. And more planning may have paid dividends. Must be gettin old.
Some lads from ICI (where I worked) went to the Reeperbahn. The Madam asked him what kind of girl he wanted. He said ideally one with cellulite on the back of her thighs, a roll of fat round her belly and a bit of a tash ( down on her top lip). The Madam asked him if he was "kinky". He replied " not really I'm just homesick".!!!
Nice one DR....lol....reminded me of the time before the euro was the currency......popped in and did the business as you do ..once id finished i headed for the door and the madam shouts....hey bsly what about the marks.....8 out of 10 was my reply tell her to keep practising.....
Cool. Currently, the Limburg/Montabaur area is fairly high on my list as my employers have offices in both Cologne and Frankfurt. Got a long way to go yet though so it'll be at least another year before we can go for it...
I went on a freebie with John Smith's brewery many years ago and we were taken on a tour around the Holsten Pils brewery with a free bar after I wish I could elaborate further but Hamburg becomes a blur after that sesh I was later told that we all really enjoyed the city and all it offered. We then flew to Munich and apparently that's good too.
A two-day music festival in St Pauli. Seems to involve mobile music around a set route, and lots of people dressing up like the 70s. http://www.schlagermove.de/
