    He was never given it because he was absolutely dire. I still can’t see him working out in the championship but will be more than happy to be proven wrong.

    He wasn't the only one who was never given a chance in his natural position. Mowatt played left wing then loaned out and we went with the crabby twins instead.
    Thiam came from France at 22 played upfront as a lone striker at Hillsborough and then made mostly sub appearances and few starts. I don't know if he will cut it in the championship but imo he has more chance than hammill now. 7 league goals and 3 assists isn't bad from the left wing for a player who most wrote off at the start of the season imo.

    Shocking post. You’re looking for something that isn’t there.

    It’s clearly a reference to his physique & not his skin colour, as another poster mentioned Wayne Rooney is of a similar build, I’d say Ross Barkley as well, quite broad with big legs, hard to stop in full flow & can’t half strike a ball
