Steele that day had the game of his life and the best individual performance for a goalkeeper I've ever seen live Including all opposition goalkeepers. And I've seen many great performances.

Tbh mate that performance that day from Steele matched any individual performance you'd care to mention. And I saw all Ronnie's games. Hat tricks included. Doesnt mean to say he's the best goalie ever to play for us. Muller holds that crown for me. I'd definitely put Steele in my top 3 Though.

    Can’t believe it’s 16 years ago. I had a funny turn as a result of Howie’s winner. Thought I was a gonner

Went to work that day, had a rant about all the day trippers watching us.....thought we'd get battered.

Stayed away from the first handful of away games in the Premier League for the same reason

I wrongly ‘remembered’ it had been 4, but even 2 was too many, and for Rowing to admit he’d underestimated demand was just a kick in the teeth for those that missed out. It was Anfield ffs

something that really narked me at the time was a few people in my area saying a member of the staff at that time was ‘sorting them out’ with tickets.

Yes, as a individual performance in a single game, Steele at Anfield takes some beating.

What a day. Hard to imagine beating an experience like that, last minute winner away at one of the Prem big guns. So glad me and my lad were among the lucky ones to get a ticket after Rowing messed up.

Talking to the scousers before the game, " as long as we don't lose it more than 3 I will take "
Knowing full well we had Coventy city's 3 rd choice keeper on loan.
We got battered for 80 minutes .
Best 10 minutes of watching BFC in a long long time.
TBF scousers were noble in defeat ,shook our hands not our necks like Man utd fans after the 1 1 humiliation for them.

They probably thought “Oh no it’s that lot from Barnsley again! We’ve no chance”.
