Has anyone lived in a house with an electric storage heating system?

    Thanks for the advice everyone. House has already gone, having only gone on the market yesterday morning. Welcome to the York housing market. From the above thread though it may have saved us from ourselves.

    Have you looked outside York? There are some nice villages within an easy commute.

    Think you have to be honest mate.

    After that year in that house we both said we would never live in a place with storage heaters again and I stick by that.

    Even if it was an amazing place the storage heaters would put me off because when you wake up in the middle of the night in winter and you can see your breath you know things are bad.

    I'm a city boy mate. We live 15 minutes walking distance to the Minster and 20 minutes walk to work and we still want to be able to do that. That commute is a real quality of life thing for me. To be honest I love our house and don't really want to sell but it's a bit small now the bambino has come along.
