RE: COS HE'S RUBBISH so what about him playing players out of position, making Muller carry on when injured, persisting with a striker that cannot hit a cows arse with a banjo, strange tactical decisions...shall we go on
I disagree If you put 5 men in to do the job of 4 you end up with confusion. No one knows who should be marking who and everyone gets in one another's way. The biggest problem at Birmingham was the tactic of 5-4-1 and that is entirely down to Simon Davey.
RE: I disagree No, I do agree, but I'm not saying it was just individual mistakes that cost us the game, but they did cost us goals. Steele shouldn't have messed up with the cross...and it was basic defending for their first, the fact no-one was marking might have been affected by positions and/or confusion, but someone still should've been near him
RE: I disagree True Thrappo, but then why is the manager going public and highlighting individual mistakes. He shouldn't be saying that in public. He's deflecting attention from all of his own failings.
RE: erm so WHO coaches them then...with all his badges like They're still professionals. Once they get on the pitch Davey can't take responsibility for everything they do, same as when there's a great goal, or great defending or a great save, you wouldn't praise Dave. FACT
I'm not saying I agree with his tactics etc, but if players **** up, it's their fault, not Davey's

Whichever way you cut it it's ultimately the manager's fault.
He can't sign players and then blame their faults.

RE: I disagree Something else we can agree on. BUT at the end of the day, he is half right. We need to eradicate the silly individual errors (Hassell v Cov, Steele v B'ham for example).
It is worrying however, that he NEVER takes the blame himself, and I'm happy to admit his tactics have cost us games in the past, and I will blame Davey for that.
Still think certain folk will blame him for everything though

You can't say that. Everybody was full of praise for the board when they got Simon to sign a four year contract. That's everybody, without exception. Including Mel Gibson.
RE: Whichever way you cut it it's ultimately the manager's fault. No I know what you're saying, BUT sometimes it's just silly mistakes rather than ability factor. Steele IS a good keeper, but he did mess up for their second, ergo it is his responsibility.
RE: You can't say that. I wasn't. But I didn't know how to work one of those computer thingys back then so I couldn't come on here to say Davey's crap.
RE: Everybody. If you'd have put FACT on your last post then I'd believe you. But as you didn't I think you're telling the most heinous of lies. I'll never trust you again.
