To clarify what is Cryne being criticised for? Not bankrolling the club, not trying to get more people in to bankroll the club, or not finding better ways to increase revenue so the club can then spend more? If its the last I agree but this is far outweighed by the fact we have a club, without losses, who are breaking even. The club can and should improve as a business but the fundamental approach is sound.
There's been no attempt to develop the club or to consolidate at this level. The projection of the club is negative and I believe they have given up on this level. I have no issue with the approach to break even but the attempts to increase revenue, well, what's attempts.
I fully agree mate that far more could be done to increase revenue. But there also has to be an acceptance that when others are pursuing the folly of spending beyond there means that breaking even, even if the club was a marketing dream, may mean on a cyclical basis some seasons are not at this level.
I think the top and bottom of it is,it's extremely difficult to raise sponsorship deals for a club like ours...northern small town unfashionable etc etc
Well, there were 'stories'.... Where you going with this? You are intimating you know things without actually saying anything.
