I agree about Hill but I fear that the thirty points (approx) that we're going to need is a very tall order for the new manager to achieve particularly as we've thrown away quite a few points against teams who are in the relegation mire with us. The writing has been on the wall for a while now and the board should have acted sooner.

And it is a relegation on their CV that they are largely not responsible for. If anything, the job might suit a battle hardened war horse, who has been around the block and knows how to win ugly. It certainly isn't one for any bright young thing with ambition and upward mobility. It's a poisoned chalice this job, it could end a career.

That is why I think it will end up with Ronnie Branson!

I think it coud also attract a League 2 or lower league 1 manager- relatively great payday and relatively a no lose situation given that everyone expects us to go down

I personally have no faith in us staying up whatsoever now. An internal appointment would be a disaster, but bringing in a new man is going to take time & there is non.
Davies is gonna be sold to raise a bit of money for replacements (probably on loan till end of season). Will then be next year looking at the young lads & a few who will
stay on like Fozzy, Hassell, Dawson, etc to try & get us back up.

Sorry I can't see it playing out any other way. Lets hope a buyer will still come in if we are in Div1 & debt free, as that is the only real way forward if we are gonna be a Championship club.

How can it be more likely? We are rock bottom with one win in 14. It can't get much worse!

He lost his entire midfield last January and was given the finances to bring in 2 players. He was hardly ever going to be able to replace Vaz Te and Drinkwater with the little cash we spent on Golbourne and Dawson.
