Re: Spot on Big Lil, that loss wasn't down to any individual..

I have to agree with JT. Butterfield did go missing yesterday and as captain he should have been a lot more involved however he is only a young lad so will learn from the experience I hope. We were also let down by our senior players in the second half in fact the whole team were **** poor in the second half.

i completely agree with JLWbiglil, certain people should get of his back. Losing drinkwater exposed us in a big way and i believe addison should have been the sub to use. I dont think this captain issue should even come into it, we should have 11 leaders out their, one player that impressed me for the full 90 was o'brien his work ethic was excellent, and he never stopped running. No knee jerk reactions against west ham, just a solid team performance and a result and friday night will be completely forgotten.

    Well said mate

Not enough has been said about the cynical tactics Ipswich used to blinding effect.

    Re: Well said mate

Again i agree, however we will face other teams like this, teams may even set out to purposely do it against us after seeing that match, we have to deal with it. By this i mean introducing a strong physical midfielder to "give it back" and protect players like perkins which unfortunately Done just couldnt do.

Correct mate, 10 mins into second half I said to my mate what we need is a Geoff Thomas to come on and sort it out, and he would have taken a yellow card to do it.

    My mate suggested

We needed a Gwyn Thomas, or an Alan Little!

    Thomas the Tank - yes

Alan Little? Sorry but he's way too scary for today's namby-pamby footballers, he'd get sent off every week.

I loved Thomas, absolutely gutted when he had his leg broke by that evil Chelsea player (Graham?) when we stuffed them 4-0 in the cup.
