Has this lad got a point? Maybe that's where we have gone wrong?

    Curtis Woodhouse via Twitter-

"I hate watching Norwich, the arrogance infuriates me. “Playing the right way” getting beat every week.

Modern day football gone mad! No defensive foundation, no spine, no structure. Imo the manager hasn’t given the club a chance of staying up, not once has he been pragmatic."

I know he's a Blade, but he has a point.

Not really. 3 teams are going to get relegated, they can just as easily be really boring teams to watch.

Think I agree with Redhelen I remember Huddersfield playing shut the shop football all season and it was just as bad, but yes Norwich trying to play against top 6 teams is a recipe for disaster and ridiculous

Barnsley went down under Simon Davey whilst spending an entire season trying to play out 46 nil nil draws

Blimey. I actually assumed he was sacked when it was clear we were going to be relegated around Christmas but he was actually gone in August. What's that all about?

Just like Sheff Utd are doing this season. Be interesting to see how they fare next year.

You might be thinking of Hill who was sacked at Christmas the Flicker took over and saved us. If I remember correctly Davey got us a point at Hillsborough on the first game when we came back from 2-0 down then we lost the next 5 and he was gone with Robins replacing him.

Back to the OP, Robins was the type of boring but quite successful managers but he’s one if my least favourite Barnsley managers.

Red Rain has already alluded to this but you either set the formation to the skills of the players or acquire the right players for your desired formation. Norwich haven't done so and neither have we.

He has a point, but I don't think the cap fits for us. If anything, we're the opposite; don't really concede that many, and certainly don't score that many either.

As the old saying goes “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.”

Our owners made it absolutely clear before the season started that the aim was to finish 4th bottom. We weren't aiming to finish as high as possible, the target was to scrape to survival. It's been repeated by Dane this week.

If we aim for 4th bottom and JUST miss the target we go down. If we aim for mid table we have a lot of room to still stay up.

The problem is we bought players with the hope of scraping 4th bottom, Gerhard imo has set us up to try to scrape enough points to get 4th bottom. We've failed at that and the only thing below 4th is relegation. If only we had set our sights a little higher

Norwich don’t really have an alternative. They’re a young team who played their way out of the championship but didn’t sign any new players & don’t have a plan B.

If for example they were a team designed for pragmatic football & they were trying to pass out from the back & failing miserably then he’d have a point.

Ultimately they’ve got the 20th best team in the league & are going to finish 20th.

And Woodhouse is in my opinion a massive *****. One of my favourite moments of his was when he gave it the big one mocking Barnsley on twitter when he was on his way to play Athersley Rec with the team he was managing & they got battered (5-1 I think).

Didn't he play Macken at wingback to get him in the team? We're we 3 nil down at half time and he got sacked immediately after the game?
