Come on, mate. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. If you don't agree with it then argue your side, but don't start with the silly comments.
LDRed. Ben wasn't the only player to get sent off but he's the only one that everyone goes on about even though it was probably the least worse. People go on about this Forest game, they never mention the games when he played really well. Charlton away 1-0 reds win. Charlton home 6-0 reds loss. Also they never mention games like the Blackpool game when he played really well against Blackpool at there best. They had three times shots on target that day. The Other day we had someone blaming Ben for goals he didn't even let in because it wasn't him in the goal LdRed. Mad, people will blame Ben because that's how some are.
Change 'Ben' for 'Bobby' and that's your obsession with running down the ability and character of Bobby hasssell.
The red card was one of the worst I've seen in my time following BFC, he assaulted a fellow human being, I'm not sure how you can defend that.
I wouldn't go as far to say Alnwick is **** because I don't think he is but nor do I think he is as good as Luke because he isn't (in my opinion).
Luke Steele and Bobby Hassell are two of our longest serving players (because no other club wants them), and 'fans favorites'. Scott Wiseman got abuse because he 'replaced' the long serving Bobby. Ainwick will get abuse if he 'replaces' Steele. It doesn't help when they play **** though. In other words, Barnsley folk don't like things replacing, apart from scoreboards. 'Change, is not good'. Hope that clears it up.
Not in my opinion. I think Wiseman was decent up until February 2012. And then and only then did I start to criticise him. The fact is he continued his gash form - in the main - until February 2013. As for Bobby, it's just an unfortunate coincidence that he can play the same positions. Because when Scott was having mare after mare, I did hope and call for Hassell to replace him. Nowt to do with him being long serving. Everything to do with him being a cracking defender who when played, helps us to win a lot more than we lose. Hence him being the defender with the highest win percentage during the Hillcroft seasons. . But once Wisey got back to being a player of some ability, I lauded him just as much I previously criticised him. It's simple really. I prefer them both to play. We never lose when they do. . Alnwick/Steele is slightly different as Ben hasn't had a fair run yet to be judged as wannk. But I'd pick Steele over him, and again on ability. Nowt to do with how long he's been here. . Just my opinion. A nice healthy debate after a hard nights work.
