RE: that post is utter B to the O to the L to the LOCKS because suker had ran off somewhere playing chase the ball
that coming from the man who on air.... saud kay and Austin were a disgrace Also played the ball out of defence very well and took pressure off us on a regular basis. We played in RED and hardly found ared shirt all night
RE: that coming from the man who on air.... I didn't say 'they' were a disgrace. I said what they did in that game against Doncaster was disgraceful in terms of letting the club down and costing us points against our local rivals. I stick by that. So, nice try.
RE: that coming from the man who on air.... Can I assume that you thought Mr Rennie was correct in his decisions
RE: that coming from the man who on air.... Yes you can, though Coppinger should also have been sent off for instigating the Austin one. I don't think any player can be termed 'a disgrace' for one silly spur of the moment incident, but they can do things which I consider 'disgraceful' as a one off. Austin has been excellent since then and Kay has done well too. I like both players, but feel they got carried away and let the club down on that one occasion. Most players do such things at one time or another. Rennie still had a poor game, because I believe that numerous Doncaster players should have been cautioned throughout the game, and him letting them get away with it may have contributed to Kay's frustration. For that, I sympathise to an extent. Anyway, using something you thought I said (but horribly misquoted) ages ago to try and undermine my judgement of a player is rather disappointing.
RE: that coming from the man who on air.... what about the "me and my dad thought matty appleby was a liability" quote I don’t want to fall out with you, but my idea of a footballer is some one who can control a ball 1st time, pass, tackle, head the ball, read the game, and have tactical awareness. Mr Hassell lacks most of those attributes
RE: that coming from the man who on air.... It's all a matter of opinion Tyrone! I think Hassell has most if not all of those qualities at this level, especially as a centre half. This is what makes this board tick as we all disagree about everything ff
RE: that coming from the man who on air.... as a centre half he has done a reasonable put on job, in the longer term he would be exposed.
Do yourself a favour, mate. Watch the game, as opposed to a player. Hassell, even when he was '****' was one of the better players on the pitch last season. You want to talk 'out of position'? Watch the other ten. It's a disease.
Not his biggest fan myself but credit where credits due, he reads the game well from centre back, made some important challenges on Tues and held the back 4 together when Kay was having a mad 10 mins. as a right back, gets caught upfield too often, but thats probably because Shuker cant cross a ball and he's under instructions to get forward to take the ball from him.
He had some shocking games when he first came and it doesn't matter how well he plays now he'll not satisfy some people. It's like the Nardiello effect, only in reverse.
he was by far the best player on the pitch. Only thing was with his passing, sorry, but it was shuker, wasabsolute ***** apart from 1 pass that put through hayes for the cross. Looked like shuker wanted to hold hassles hand because he certainly wouldn't run off down the line, same with flinders, whats the point of running towards the player with the ball when he should be bogging off down the line. Way too deep. This what caused hassle to appear slightly less dominant than he was. People should look at a game more broadly, instead of slagging off players who should have been the Man of the Match, instead of picking a player who was completely *****, and the sun shines out of his ring
