Thank you for all your years of solid service Bobby. You're gonna be missed by a hell of a lot of fans. It was a massive shame he didn't start against Queer Park Rimmers but at least he got a cracking ovation when he did come on - not seen an oncoming player get a reception like that for quite some time.
^^^^^Agree with this completely ^^^^^ Wish him the best of luck with whichever new club he goes to - especially if its not in the 3rd Division
Digby is made of glass. Well he has been for the last 2-3 seasons. Hopefully he will come right but at this moment in time (Danny reference there) we can't afford the gamble.
Didn't realise that Bobby was such a devout Christian. Top, top bloke. We haven't had anyone nearly as committed to the club since Neil Redfearn went. I agree with his wife - if they were going to let him go, they should've let him play the last game of the season. Sad to see him go because we can buy one hundred more players and not encounter his loyalty. A massively rare thing in modern football.
What a fantastic servant to the club, shame his last couple of seasons has been tarnished by the poor managers and his injury and fitness problems. I would have offered him a coaching role, but he obviously wants to keep on playing, and credit to him. Unfortunately for Bobby we need to move forward and i think it is the right decision to release him as a PLAYER. I think he will probably sign for Mansfield to see out the remainder of his playing career, and he will do a job down in league 2, given his age and fitness problems.
'Officially' released , he's been unofficially released for two seasons. What a bunch ****s we have at our club, the silence on why Bobby hasn't played more has been deafening Wilson better have some decent players lined up to come in .
The club go on about wanting players who buy into what the club and town are all about and then go and release Bobby. Then they decide to keep Dawson who has a go at the fans, has a legal case hanging over him and supposedly celebrated a promotion with our ex manager. Think as a club we need to get our priorities right. But if Danny thinks he can bring in someone better for the palty by pro football standards wage Bobby signed back up for last summer, lets see.
