as for ridiculous comparisons you mentioned Bassett and Davey in the same post.

One manager has had umpteen promotions...

The other has achieved nothing.....

I was happy with BFC under Bassett . Most goals most points. Don't know what Spaceman will be remebered for. Hate him with a passion, worst manager we ever had.

Bassett was a good manager with a long and successful career, and I still think Davey made has made better signings ... which you've got to think is encouraging and is something to hang onto and hope is a good sign. Davey has been working on a shoestring. If De Silva and Muller hadn't got injured I think we'd have been better inthe league this season and everyone would be getting excited. Let's give Davey some credit for laying a decent foundation and if his signings this summer follow form and are 60% good (which I think is acceptable) then next season without serious injuries to key players we might have a good season</p>
