You'll have been happy to see that then given your previous comments about how to be a fan you should get stuck in

Aye, more faces than 'tarn hall clock has our nudge, I remember them posts he made about getting stuck in, then there is his, '' miners were conservatives really who only voted labour because of the propaganda fed to them by the union'' in one post then in a later post he say's '' I was a num president''. oh dear. There's no wonder he gets some stick.

We don't have a bigger % of hooligans than any other club.

But to quote a bouncer I met in a Blackpool pub before we played them in a friendly match years ago.

He said "you Barnsley lads are all nutters, you don't back down".

I think he has a point we do tend stick up for ourselves.

............you remember...............'them posts he made about getting stuck in'
Can you just remind all the other readers about those posts then Mr TowdMan and Eastander

I'm sure that all on here including myself would like to see those post

Or is it the same old old story............dim foookers reading something and thinking it says something else

In relation to this subject i have said this..........I would not, and will not stand by and see FELLOW Tarn fans being attacked or abused by supporters from another club
If you are willing to sit there and let this happen.........then I'm glad the clock has no chance of being turned back..........I'd hate to think I was in the trenches with the likes of some on here

And I'll repeat what I said..........on evidence of the Hull match, before the game walking up to the ground and after the game walking from the ground, a large percentage of the TARN supporters were willing to have a go
I'm only repeating what I saw
Then again, its no different to when we have played other clubs such as Wendy or the Blunts
    Hence:
    The huge police presence
High steel gates at the end of Grove Street
Home supporters not allowed in any stands near the away support i.e. sections of the East Stand closed
    All ticket match
Tickets not for sale after 11 oclock on the day of the match
Police advice not to have the match at 5:20pm

If Barnsley had just 1 or 2 % of fans willing to have a go.............would we see all those measures ???
    Would we fooooking Hell !!!!!!!!

Yes, it was an absolutely crazy call by the police. For me it confirmed their intentions in limiting ticket purchases and denying Sky coverage- it was to show us that they CAN do it. I believe this is connected to the court case they lost with Leeds United re policing costs?

When it came down to making sensible, matchday policing decisions they weren't bothered. But they all milked up the overtime- town was crawling with OB frm before 10am.

It's all these free Childs season tickets we're giving away, its caused an influx in hooliganism.

Not sure if it is still the case but on the syp website where they have a description of each of the major towns in sy, Barnsley's description said Barnsley had a major problem with football hooliganism

    I found that surprising.
