We're stronger at left and right back than the team that started at Wembley. If we still had Fletcher up front we wouldn't be having this discussion.

How do you know we are stronger when they haven,t played a game in anger yet.

Sorry let me re-phrase that . I think we'll be stronger at right back because I believe Bree or Yiadom are better there than Scowen and I think White is a better left back than George Williams . You're right though , these are just my opinions, only time will tell .

I think Williams will be a big loss and based on his injury record I can't see White playing more than 25 games. Brownhill has not been replaced and neither has Fletcher.

I agree that letting Williams go was a mistake. He would have been the perfect sub or replacement, he was almost like having two players rolled into one . All he wanted was an extra few quid but they said no . The perfect all rounder really . The left and right back are such important areas especially when you lose one like inevitably we will with Andy White, if he gets injured then what?

Dint he not want to bench warm though? Which is understandable a year as occasional backup wouldn't do him any good he wants to be building on what he did last year like

If my fading memory serves me rightly all he asked for was an extra £300 a week ,no conditions attached.
