This 'the likes of' business is funny really, especially as if we stay in the Champ, teams relegated from the Prem will probably say 'crap, now we have to play the likes of Barnsley...'. We are a 'the likes of' team, unfortunately.
RE: I thought you might have enjoyed it more than most Er.... yes I have. Agreed, not too many but some at least.
Can't blame you for not going ... ... in that stupid fecking hat. I bet it costs you a fortune to attend a home game. My guess is as follows: Ticket - £22 Illuminous pies - £11 Silly Hat - £3 Kit Kats - £1 Fuel for gas guzzling 8.6 litre 4x4 joeymobile - £815 Laptop for every room - £2,800 Pimms - £4 You make me sick.
At the end of the day, Supporting Barnsley FC is a decision you make. If it has really been that dreadfull a season then why not go and support someone els? ( I use "support" loosely.) Go and follow Man UTD or Chelsea or even Blades! What I'm getting at is that this season has been much better than it was last season. Come the end of May, it will also be nearly as exciting as it was a year ago on the day. Yet, SUPPORTERS!! Go and support the lads, believe in them, shout for them encourage and don't discourage them. Otherwise we will be in Pub league next season.
Yes i have, some great football played in first 3 months of season quality of opposition and players names you have actually heard of.Some good grounds to go to.Slighty disappointed in terms of away support and indeed BFC support, expected us to be touching 13 / 14k most home games Typical BFC season really in terms of nothing has gone to plan, Manager out Manager in, new one proves unpopular, fans are divided, new heros are signed, might just stop up Wouldn't have swappped any of what has happened this term for another season trawling round the rats nests of that Alehouse League 1 Bag o'tel football indeed BRING BACK HOLDEN
Enjoyed it as much as any other season. I go watch BFC because I love the club and choose to go support them. A season in the Championship has been a breath of fresh air after the years of L1. Visiting better grounds and seeing better teams. Still in with a good chance of survival. Its been a struggle but that was what I expected. When we stay up it will feel as good, if not better, than last Mays achievements. The tension is gonna go right to the end of the season. All in all, not a bad season.
errrmmm yes & no on the plus side its been a pleasant change seeing the opposition run out and actually knowing whosome of their players are and for a short while at the beggining of the season we were watching some cracking football and most recently the arrival of stan.
on the minus side theres been the selling of mccindoe for next to nowt, the drossy survival at all costs footballwe have been served up in the last 3 months and the manager situation.
all in all, 4th from bottomin division 2is far better than anywhere in division 3

same as any other really high's and lows. its about what i expected and if we stay up i will lean towards yes if we go down then towards no.
