I had an old Charlton subbuteo team that I would pretend was Barnsley.
This was before they painted badges and things.

I had the Barnsley subbuteo team. I had to send off for it. It was back in the days when we had the red shirt with a white stripe down one side.

Funny choices for an English bloke.

Mind you I've got a Brazil polo. I look lovely in it.

Leeds @ School but I wore my Barnsley shirt underneath that.

When Leeds were the Man Utd. of the day.

Got stopped by a Turkish bloke when I was wearing it at a Charlton game. He was made up to see it being worn in England. I bought it on holiday about the time they were in the same Champions League group as ManUre.

I had an Everton top when I was 6. I think I asked for it because I found out they were called the toffee men and gave out sweets before the game. Very soon after that I was taken to a Barnsley game and then I asked for a shirt. I vaguely remember trying it on in a porta-cabin at the back of the West Stand. It was long sleved, round necked, very shiny, I think it had Hayselden as the sponsor and the old oak leaf and well badge.

Barnsley, Celtic, Barcelona and England plus...

...Liverpool when I was a nipper. When playing five-a-side we've all got Fenerbache shirts that the lads brought back from Turkey but we also used to have an old pub-team strip (can't remember which one) that one of the players had "acquired"...

    Just reminded by this game

but I also have a Croatia away shirt I bought over there a few years back

ex's lad had quite a collection as anywhere we went (or friends went on holiday) he got a football shirt

so last I recall apart from Barnsley and Liverpool, he had amongst others, Croatia, Greece, Bulgaria, Panathinikos, Real Betis, Ajax plus New York Yankees.
