    Where to play him?

Could never work out what his best position was. Towards the end of the promotion season he did really well on the wing, but this season in the few times he has played out wide he hasn't particularly done anything. Upfront he can create but doesn't score enough and isn't a big enough nuisance for defenders.

Great control and can make that killer pass, but maybe a bit of a luxury. Our oppenents, in general, have better players and so ours have to work harder - Hayes doesn't really fit into this category. If he did what Nardiello did and worked his ass off he could be a great player but he doesn't seem to have the stamina or desire to take that next step.

Sort of sad to see him go because he has a lot of ability but I think he lacks guts to make him a top player. Bet the bugger scores against us now!

that has to be the funniest post i have ever read on the BBS in 10years

"If he did what Nardiello did and worked his ass"

Daniel Nardiello is the laziest footballer I have ever seen, watch him warming up, watch him in a game, watch him in training. Lazy as they come. He has never worked his arse off in his life. Talented yes but lazy with it

Paul hayes is light weight but does put the effort in and has a fair amount of talent

    Well said that man too!

I've never classed him as an out-an-out striker, but always thought he would excel at playing off the front man / men. The thing is I dont think Nardiello could be that player up top either with that system. Stan on the other hand probably could. Keeping hold of Hayes would be a high priority of mine at the moment because I feel he is the ONLY current player who can play the killer ball.

Nardiello only started "working his ass off" when Ferenczi and Rajczi came to the club

Correct, none of those 3 can.

Howard tends to shoot rather than pass. Devaney plays mainly out wide, so "killer balls" tend to be more like "wayward crosses" from him. As for Togwell, im a big fan of his for the type of job he does - breaking up play. But he cant even make 10 yard passes 70% of the time.

McCann given the chance can play the killer ball, and Howard absolutely can play it, doesn't shoot THAT often

howard, - plays well and thends to have a go for a sepectacular rather than pass, may often pass the ball through but like to shoot.
devaney - again plays out wide and doent come inside to to play them kind of balls
togwell - plays in a more defensive role which is important and he breakes the play up and lays off the simple ball, not very creative.

I meant the last couple of months when he was chasing down loose balls like a nut - previous to that he didn't break sweat for us.

Nads has flattered to deceive for long periods but on the recent evidence he may have changed his tune and so worth keeping. I honestly believe if he works hard he can bag 20-25.
